@PcBytes I can only assume you have understood the speed rating of (e)eproms in a wrong way. The speed rating is in nanosecons (ns) and it is the time the memory device needs so it can spit out it's contents on the data pins once activated. So a 70ns device needs 70ns and a 90ns device is slower and …

oh yeah, I wrote that wrong, "any 29F00 2 NT eprom will do" is the correct. Ofcourse it doesn't have to be Macronix that's why I pointed about the EON ones on eBay. basically any 29F00NT eprom will do , doesn't have to be from Macronix... we looked on eBay as there are some EON ones in the US but the shipping really kills the deal at 24$ + 13$ for the IC ... The original is 50% ok, bank0 is r/w whereas bank1 is stuck in read mode and can't be altered - plus …

I would suggest a riva128 PCI too... Excellent card for fast 2d stuff. Combine it with a voodoo1 or 2 and you are set! I had no idea PCI ones are less common, got a bunch here and always found that agp ones are the hard to get... Maybe now days all flavors are hard to find... 🤣

^ heh maybe if I find a way to fix my phone in a position that can capture video OK... it's 720p camera so the vid will be good (lumia with a zeiss lens) for this... but it's not gonna be anything spectacular, just soldering stuff 🤣 🤣 🤣

strange, it *should* work on the 5x86 pc (unless it's not a 486 variant)... don't bother with anything newer than 486 - I never got it running with anything ss7+ the drivers on vogonsdrivers are the newest you can find so you are set there
