So, since the components in question are filters, why don't you just check connectivity with a multimeter? Find a dead one and you know the culprit - or not.

I added this to my previous post: Even on my intel Atom mITX board with crappy onboard realtek chip (but with drivers installed) audiog uses 0%, tried playing 3 yt videos at different volume levels , it brought the machine to a crawl but audiog's max cpu time was 1% for some 0.5 seconds... What happens if the driver is Microsoft's own driver that's embedded in Windows 7? Like I said, I've observed audiodg problems with the stock driver Microsoft wrote as part of their UAA specification. I still stand by my word it is Microsoft and thus Windows's fault why these audiodg problems exist …

^ yeah same here , tried with winamp+2x YT videos playing at various volumes, audiog was at 0% and consumed ~15.7MB of RAM I am pretty sure it's an audio driver thing

Yes, there is no ISA (with normal mobos that is) and you need to run a couple of mem and cpu patches if you want to add more than 512MB of RAM or a very fast cpu. I kept my p4 machine at 512MB DDR1 and I didn't have to run any patches for the cpu but I did install the unofficial SP1 . Personally …

I had a small audio mixer that when operated with batteries it was good, when I used a power adapter I was having noisy output. I think it was jwt27 :blush: that offered me advice on how to fix it, IIRC I just put a 1800uf electrolytic and a 100nf ceramic caps in the power input and the problem went …

Great post! tbh I can't say I prefer the way the Gold sounds, it must be a mix of what I am used to expect and tracks not being optimized for it. It does sound better at some parts though, it produces a richer sound but doesn't seem to mix well with the rest of the sounds... (hence the optimization …
