I also have a 6800GT in that pc, I changed the parameter to "primary" and the result was worse, lower/higher was ~78fps IIRC

just did the test, negative average but worst was 90fps and best 197fps with SLI setup...

I have an i875 SLI setup (Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 with a 2.4ghz cpu) I can bench if it helps

Regarding Gods, it's a lapc-i / cm-32l game , not a mt-32 one. Some weirdness in playback is to be expected (nothing severe as the problem described here though) with uploaded samples, they sound wrong.

I've been testing my el-cheapo amiga midi interface and asking questions to make it electrically safer (it's based on an older PD schematic, I stripped the extra out/thru/in ports and only have 1xOUT for playback). Unfortunately very few games support midi playback... http://i125.photobucket.com/ …

Well at least it will bring some benefits to my retro pc :) it comes with a DOS device driver CH375DOS.SYS so I will give it a try in the next couple of days. give it a go but from my experience the device driver alone means nothing unfortunately... you will also need a USB stack to support mass …

^ correct btw, the company "DATA MODUL" ( http://www.data-modul.com/eu/home.html ) makes specialized display systems and embedded stuff, so your card is probably something they made 20 years ago. Just be happy it works as a standard vga, don't hope to make use of the rest of the unknown connectors …

tried the latest build posted, it behaves way worse than the original engine on a p200mmx machine... seems this is targeted to beefier pcs

what I can add to this is that the MX27C1000 is a 128kbyte eeprom , most likely holding the device's firmware along with that demo song mode.
