Re: The hatred of DosBox

HunterZ, listen, there's a huge difference between Constructive critisism, and people just whining. I'm all for bug reporting, but show me threads lately that have been exactly that ? All I see lately, is just bitching and moaning. Nearly every thread, lately, has needed a post from either a dev, or …

Re: The hatred of DosBox

Best post so far, the above. You know be by now, I like to have a rant, now and then. What really bloody annoys me are the ones who come here with crap computers. I mean, really crap computers. 300mhz, 400 mhz, etc.. and hardly any ram, running WinXP or Win2k. For crying out loud, get a …

Re: Hq2x / Hardware OpenGL-HQ scaling

Methinks Craiggey's had a bad day You hit the nail, firmly on the head. Moe, I appologise. Bad week, would be more fitting. All I'm asking, Moe, is this. Do you please have a url for a Binary ? I honestly don't have any links to sourceforge. I formatted, and started again, only this time sticking …

Re: SVGA choice

Maybe you're young, a non-native english speaker, poor reading comprehension, or just had some bad coffee, whatever the case, you've misread the situation. You see, it's shit like that, that insults ME. I've kept this civil, so why can't you ? I can't even believe you have the balls to have a pop …

Re: SVGA choice

I've got an idea too! Try to understand that you are in a developers forum, in which developers will discuss developing and things having to do with such. In this particular developers forum, emulating hardware and topics therein(like discussing the merits of emulating a particular piece of …

Re: SVGA choice

I'm all for Suggestions , but not for demands. Ok, perhaps this topic was just a suggestion, it's just the tone suggested otherwise. Some of the posts in the Dosbox wishlists, are pretty much spot on, apart from a few, but most of them really add something to Dosbox. I think this is great, and ideas …

Re: SVGA choice

Here's an idea, Why don't you let the Dosbox authors worry about Dosbox, and what direction they are going in ? Dosbox, works fine as it is. It's a brilliant, FREE, piece of software that just works. It doesn't need some hotshot coming in here and suddenly thinking he can turn water into wine, or …

Dege, are you still alive and well, my friend ?

in Milliways
Anybody heard from him ? I hope he's well, and still visits Vogons. I've been too busy to do any sort of forum posting, but I'm now in my quieter days, until the summer hits us. Dege, if you read this, Hope you are ok. Hows DGVoodoo ? Anything new ? 😉

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Nice one, Dege. Your wrapper gets better and better. I'll do a lot of testing, later on. I hope Dege can fix this problem How can that be Dege's problem, when it's clearly ATI's Catalyst thats at fault ? And for what it's worth, the 4.7 beta drivers I'm using, haven't caused a single problem with …

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

I can confirm that the Screamer games crash only when using sound via VDMSound, but in WinME using naitive SB Sound rather than emulation, it works a treat. No sound, works well in XP, and very fast. Screamer 2, works a treat in WinME. But in XP, it's the dreaded "Insert CD" problem. Ignition, works …

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Hey Dege, How you doing ? Did you manage to read any more from the DVD ? Both games run fine of my PC, but there is a weird colour scheme that pops up in the background, when you play the games. I'm thinking ATI's drivers, but haven't had a chance to test out Catalyst 4.5 yet. And no chance of it …
