Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Let me just say something here, Dege's wrapper is by far THE most advanced wrapper around. Proof can be found by trying it out on Outlaws - A game that hasn't worked well on ANY wrapper, up until Dege's. Openglide doesn't display hardly any graphics, while the others are sooo slow. Ignition - …

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Actually, scrap the above test, as one of the ATI Catalyst team has said it doesn't support W-Buffer above the 8500 series. Oh well, He did mention this though A wrapper would do you no good as all of the incoming vertex data would need to be changed to be Z buffer friendly, if this is even …

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Well, yesterday I decided to install NFS2 SE, and indeed got the cars through walls thing, with W-Buffer on. But with emulate W-Buffer on, 32bit colour ticked, Direct T&L HAL, Force Triple Buffering, Cliiping by D3D, Enable hardware vertex buffers, and a resolution of 1024x768, everything looks and …

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Dege, I'll have to do it through post, I'm afraid. As I don't have the space to host this size. If you goto my profile, and email your address to my adress in my profile, I'll mail you a CD. Or do you have a DVD drive ? If so, I'll mail you a DVD full of 3dfx stuff, including demos, screensavers, …

Re: Ideal PC for maximum old game compatibility?

in PC Emulation
I recently got given 4 old ACER desktop PC's. 2 of them are Pentium 233 MMX machines, with integrated ATI Rage II c video, perfect for old DOS games. 128Mb, Vibra 16 soundcards, and 2 gig HD's. One of the other machines is a Pentium 2 266, 128Mb, same Rage II c as above, vibra 16 soundcard, 2 gig HD …

Re: A glide wrapper for DOS programs

Welcome back, Dege. I must admit, this is a fabulous wrapper. I wonder what the results would be, if you, Paul, and Fabio, worked together on both dgvoodoo, and Openglide. I just turn to jelly, thinking about it  Outlaws, runs absolutely flawless with this wrapper. And I'm pleased as a pleased …

Re: Glidos is good but

To our honoured guest, or should that be dickhead ? Please leave the forum, as you are a total arse, and nobody really likes you or your pathetic little attitude. I actually find it funny that even bothered to return. Please close this thread Paul, as it's obviously a troll post, and nothing more.

Re: Glidos is good but

I can't believe this crap still goes on in this forum. To the original poster, You sir, are an Ass, and a first class one. You don't deserve Paul's time of day. The crap that Paul has to sometimes deal with, on regular days, and a few from complete morons from time to time. These people shouldn't be …

Re: D1_3dfx

Hi Paul, I'm fine thanks, and busy. Been building quite a few new PC's from home, and also doing some training. Great money, but not much time to myself. I haven't used Glidos, or Openglide, for quite a while. And none of them probably work now, as I've changed all my hardware again. Now on a AMD …

Re: D1_3dfx

The best way to run Descent 1 is to run it natively in OpenGL via the file d1x143_oglmw.exe. This way you avoid a further wrapper that causes the problems. I now find the openGL version to be far better than the 3dfx one. And it looks great on my 9700 Pro, with 6xFSAA, and 16xAF.

Re: Can't copy Glide2x.ovl

I haven't really got any Windows Glide games to test Best get some sent to you, then 😉 Again. We got new post office owners, and Paul got his this time. BTW, they look good on this Radeon with 6x FSAA, and 16x AF 😎

Re: The Baron needs a boost

Yeah, Sorry Paul. But guys like this really bug me. And it ain't as if I went for a flame flest, I merely pointed out that there are other priorities other than RB. His attitude of "We got problems, We don't like it, now fix it", was way off. stuff like there that have been requesting help, updates, …

Re: The Baron needs a boost

Does this ever end ? Please, for the love of god, somebody tell these people that it's nothing to do with Gli**********DOS*********** Note the ***DOS*** bit, please. You are referring to Openglide, NOT Glidos. I know an old game like RB can easily slip off the priority list And since when …
