Why wouldn't it be an EISA slot? It's certainly not an opti local bus slot. Boards in that time period were still getting EISA slots, though typically they were Pentium boards. My feeling is that ALi probably just had some chips that needed to be used up.

you need to use the Mach8 utility for DOS and set the card into colour mode. It is possible to use the VRAM portion of the card in DOS, but only if the application specifically supports the Mach8 chip.

Uh, isn't the Jetway TX98B actually based on an SiS chipset? I would think that it is highly unlikely that I could get my hands on a 430FX motherboard with async cache that also has support for voltages down to 1.9V. The only way that would happen is with CPU adapter that I don't have.
