Re: Guardians of Infinity: To Save Kennedy

Sorry, but please do NOT ask for abandonware or attempt to even mention it as no one here will help you. Even if you get a legitimate copy, you won't even get any help elsewhere. I suspect that the thread in question will most likely get locked soon.

Re: Weird Win 3.1 problem

It hasn't been abanonded, it is however, continously being updated via SVN release. With the generic SVGA driver, you can only get up to 1024 x 768 @ 256 colours. With the S3 1.70.04 driver, you can actually get up to 1600 x 1200 @ 256 colours, but it requires at least 4 MB display memory in order …

Re: Weird Win 3.1 problem

The ykhwong 2015-01-25 SVN build of DOSBox has been broken and until we get a response from ykhwong, any issues are NOT going to be addressed. To get around this issue: 1. Stick with the official release of DOSBox 0.74, which has not be updated in over 5 years. 2. Use an older ykhwong SVN build. 3. …

Re: Can Dosbox handle 8GB dos images?

I am trying to mount a large flat disk to dosbox. Is it possible? Currently, I don't get any success yet Thanks Jack Official versions of DOSBox can only support up to 1,024 cylinders, 16 heads and 63 sectors per track for a total of 504 MB. DOSBox has limited LBA support, which means that you can …

Re: PCEm. Another PC emulator.

Any suggestions? Just stick to the official PCem tree . September is hardening bugfixing month so trying and reporting on the head there is important. The other fork there is more "you wont take my duplicate effort of floppy reading code? Fine ill make my own pcem with blackjack and hookers" …

Re: PCEm. Another PC emulator.

Has anyone here messed around with PCem-X ? It seems to be based on one of the newer builds, and while it has a nice feature set, it runs like a dog on my system when I have it set to emulate a 430VX chipset, with Win95 running on it. It appears to use some sort of a dynamic core, but I'm not …

Re: Paku Paku v1.6

in DOS
Thank you so much for explaining all of this. I knew that there was a bug in the timer code that caused the clock to drift so fast due to the PIT time drifts. I honestly can't wait for Paku Paku v2.0 soon.

Re: Paku Paku v1.6

A lot of things don't work on the PCjr, it's not 100% compatible. It won't run for some reason, it was a while ago so I don't remember why exactly. Game works fine on the Tandy 1000 and everything else I've tested it with though. That's what I've been thinking. In December 1984, InfoWorld called …

Re: PCem Sound is too Quiet!

Have you used the Sound Mixer Control (MIXERSET) utility? If so, you will need to adjust the volume for the Voice, MIDI, CD, Mic, PC Speaker and Master all at the highest level. Save those settings and exit when you're finished. If you have any questions, let me know. :) (I apologise, but it's been …

Paku Paku v1.6

in DOS
Has anyone played Paku Paku v1.6 lately inside DOSBox, PCem or even IBMulator lately? Well...although the game is playable, I have encountered numerous bugs in Paku Paku v1.6: 1. Looking a the IBMulator v0.4 debugger, I've noticed that the DOS RTC clock drifts as much as 10 times faster than the RTC …

Re: PCEm. Another PC emulator.

The Amstrad MegaPC is a Phoenix 80386 IIRC, not generic though. Thanks for telling me. However, the MegaPC is only configured to a 80386 SX processor at 25 MHz speed. And on page 14, roytan1 mentioned the generic version of the Phoneix 80386 ROM BIOS PLUS as the user played around with other BIOSes …
