I hate to double post, but it seems a majority of the CPU usage in audiodg comes from just using the microphone on the X-Fi. Disabling "Microphone" makes the audiodg process stop using CPU time but then obviously I have no way of using my damn microphone now. Since I'm on windows 7, is it plausible …

I just looked at mine again, running an 8 core AMD FX cpu with 16GB of RAM, audiodg is still at zero cpu time. I will try playing some media files and see what occurs. I'm running the X-Fi Platinum PCI model.

So how much CPU time does it show ? I'm currently running an X-Fi with Win 7 Pro, x64 and it has always shown zero percent CPU usage even with enhancements enabled.

Well I did notice this in memtest86+: RAM settings are detected as 1550MHZ (DDR3-3100) / 19-15-15-31 triple channel... while I only have two DIMMs, configured for dual channel, and it's set to 1866MHz / 11-13-13-30 in the BIOS. Not sure if that matters but it's certainly wrong. edit: CPU-Z works …
