I'd go the route of assembling a complete system with it and selling it myself, since it sounds like you don't actually need it for anything.

I was thinking more late 90s as well, though I wasn't sure if there were any Pentium II notebooks with Soundblaster support. I think it would be really sweet to be able to run UT 99 and Quake 2 as well, even just in software mode.

This may seem kind of drastic, but if you really want to test for stability, install Win95 on there and run Prime95, or just run it from a BartPE disc if you can boot from CDROM on there. Alternatively, you could try running mprime from a Linux liveCD. I have no idea what the safe temperature range …

I managed to get CD Audio working for Warlords 3 Darklords Rising on my Win7 laptop by ripping the disc to a cue/bin image and assigning the letter of the virtual drive to D:. To get the game installed however, I first had to install it on a machine running XP and copy over the files.

I like it. 😁 I had no idea they even made Baby AT boards that could take Pentium IIIs. I used to own a Slot 1 AT board which I believe was limited to Pentium IIs, but it was a POS that destroyed pretty much every hard drive that was hooked up to it, so I binned it. 🤣
