I'd skip VooDoo 3. It was a nice Glide card, but for D3D Nvidia trounced them completely. In my retro rig I use the Combo of an AGP Nvidia GeForce 4000 MX, with Dual VooDoo 2s. My old Yamaha YMF724 PCI card passes the DirectX 3D hardware audio test... I'm guessing this means it actually supports 3D audio via hardware? Try running the sound test through DXdiag to see if any of those cards use hardware buffers.

This is getting interesting... I actually have a spare 120GB 2.5" SATA laptop HDD, but will Windows 98 see all the space? And will it work under DOS with a Promise PCI card? I'm pretty sure i'll need to format it with a WinME boot disk too iirc?

Someone on ebay is selling a new & unused 380W Tagan PSU: +3.3V = 28A +5V = 37A +12V = 22A I'm thinking this PSU will be perfect, or is it overkill? Any opinions? 😀.

My 200W Seasonic PSU is now showing it's age and the fan is getting louder under load... I just looked at the specs and they are laughable!
