Intersting facts I didn't know, thank! Considering how much effects are "expected" by people in latest os (also smartphones os) I always think that the older things were better. Later amount of useless effects that require an octa core with a desktop kind of gpu in a phone make me want to go back …

1. Custom Pentium D (yes, netburst) 3.6GHz, 4gb DDR2, R9 280X, Win7 64bit (gaming and office duties) Blech waste of graphics. Why is the weak processor your main system while the stronger processor is a home theater?

Does the motherboard have an external battery connection? If it does, that is the safest option with an external battery (pack) away from the motherboard Great job on the PSU rework

Since this is a Pentium MMX with PCI, I don't know why you would go with something as old as an ET4000. They were decent ISA cards. That's it. There are far better choices available for PCI

I think it would be neat if Intel got back into the dedicated graphics market. The Intel HD series onboard GPUs are nothing special, but could you imagine what they could come up with for a dedicated GPU? I'm thinking they could provide a good low-mid range alternative to AMD and Nvidia's offerings …

not everything is saved Right. Most people don't see the use in old stuff and don't bother keeping it. That is exactly why small groups like these should try to preserve as much as we can

I'd like to control my Radeon 7770 with it too, because the default settings are a bit lax. Ironically, the only fan that speedfan can control on my system is the one in my radeon GPU. The GPU temp works for me but I use MSI afterburner because it is more flexible for fan control.
