Re: SNES Classic Mini

in Milliways
About the lenght of the controller cable of the NES Mini.. There were rumors that the manufacturing company confused the metric system and imperial units. In Europe, the typical NES controller cable was about 1.8 meters long (180cm or ~6 feet). If you made it 1.8 feet long instead, you would get …

Re: MIDI over Bluetooth

in Marvin \ Sound
Hi, perhaps the adapter does require the new Bluetooth LE (low energy) ? A "smart ready" capable device (tablet/smartphone..) does usually support both classic and new bluetooth. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_Low_Energy Anyway, it's just an idea. The fact that the connection already was …

Re: Original or Native language?

in Milliways
I'm always curious about other languages.. ^_^ Sometimes I play games in my native language, sometimes in English. Depending on the setting or kind of game, I choose English over my own language from time to time. Especially if that game involves some cheesy sayings from the 80s/90s (in my language …

Re: What am I doing with a 286?

Re: BIOS Chip Types

So I'm going to attempt to update to a newer BIOS on a 286 I'm building up. The BIOS Chip Type is : http://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_r4-th018.html Never heard of that model before, sorry. :( Perhaps it's just a one-time programmable EPROM chip of an eastern production ? OTP's are essentially …

Re: AWE64 Gold KQ4 SQ3 and MT32 Support

in Marvin \ Sound
This thread makes me wonder.. Does the AWE still include the old DSP-driven SB MIDI feature ? - The SB32 with its EMU8000 still did that, as far as I remember. And if it really does, so does AWEUTIL support SB MIDI if it is running MT-32 emulation mode ? Or is AWEUTIL just MPU-401 only ? …
