Why 'd you sell on the Toshiba? It's probably the better of the two systems. Both look in very good shape for their age though. The Compaq has a slightly better screen response. Other than that they are virtually identical other than the Tosh having more RAM, I havn't sold it yet, just thinking …

I think mine has a 100Mhz 486 but I don't think it's running any faster than 50Mhz which is annoying. However the main thing is it supports 72-pin SIMM's and 3 VLB slots so atleast it's making use of whatever speed it's running at. What mainboard do you have, you can always mod the multiplier …

As above, try and find one with a high CPU frequency support. Try and avoid the ones that have only ISA and 30-pin SIMM's since they are limiting and simply won't justify a faster CPU (though chances are them types of bords wouldn't support over 50Mhz anyway). That's one interesting controller, can't be many of these around! Reminds me when I used software to map a cheap USB pad to keyboard keys some years ago. I guess this is just a hardware version of that. I'd usually expect to see this kinda thing from LGR (YouTube) "Oddware" videos.
