I find it not very easy to quickly guess how fast any particular old drive is. When I have 2 different harddrives with the same capacity, I tend to go with the one with a newer datestamp on it (even though I'm aware this rule has many exceptions).

How many boxed games I have? I don't know because I never counted them and right now they are kinda spread out (some boxes have been under my bed in large boxes for 5 years now), but if I had to make a guess, I would guess around 50 perhaps?

Iirc I read someones post of a person who had just registered on VCF (I think) about CPU's that would spontaneously die. Personally I think that's unlikely. However, I'm pretty sure components will start to die after a while. This can be stalled by storing components in as good a manner as possible …
