Chances are your 486 board will only post with FPM instead of EDO. Do you have any FPM memory laying around? Remember that you'll need only 1 stick, 486's don't need pairs 😀

Have you tried finding your board in Total Hardware 99? It's quite a search but perhaps you can find it there, it has tons of manuals for older components like your board. Are there any readable marking on the board that may help identify your board? Perhaps the "PCI" bit in the middle will help, …

So far s478 hyperthreading Northwood rigs seems very decent. You get SSE3 support and 1MB L2 cache with a Prescott, you know ... :) SSE3 is nice, but the 1M cache more or less only sorta compensates for it's longer pipeline and makes it run hotter then a similarly clocked Northwood. Both perform …
