Re: Time to backup my entire CD collection

To save my old games from getting scratched (many are somewhat irreplaceable these days) I'll sometimes resort to using a no cd patch. As to how to backup original cd's, I don't really know. I'll usually buy several copies of games I really like so I haven't given it much thought really.

Pippy, your chart left out the achievements. God, that's one of the things I don't really like about modern day shooters -_- When I play a shooter, I just want to frag stuff, not spend 8 more hours farming XP...I mean career points just so I can have ONE more unlock -_- What I did like more about …

Re: 1st complete socket 7

Another option could be a Voodoo 2, but that requires a bit more messing around as it's a 3D only card. The Voodoo 3 PCI will probably work though, as you'll evade the AGP problems that early AGP boards had, but Voodoo 3 PCI's are starting to get more expensive lately, so it may not be an option for …

Some games can never be beaten though. I still play Total Annihilation to this day, it's a GREAT RTS! Gaming for me has become quite jaded these days... Years ago I used to buy games and literally couldn't wait to play them! But now i buy them, play them and i'm like 'meh'... I can't even be bothered to complete some games and still have quite a few that i've never even opened (bought them in sales …

Yes in olden times things were much better... This will always be true for every generation of old farts. When you reached a certain age, accumulated a certain amount of experience/knowledge, you will find yourself saying something like "years ago this used to be much better". Get over it and …
