To save my old games from getting scratched (many are somewhat irreplaceable these days) I'll sometimes resort to using a no cd patch. As to how to backup original cd's, I don't really know. I'll usually buy several copies of games I really like so I haven't given it much thought really.

Another option could be a Voodoo 2, but that requires a bit more messing around as it's a 3D only card. The Voodoo 3 PCI will probably work though, as you'll evade the AGP problems that early AGP boards had, but Voodoo 3 PCI's are starting to get more expensive lately, so it may not be an option for …

Some games can never be beaten though. I still play Total Annihilation to this day, it's a GREAT RTS! One of the main reasons I decided to help him finish the system was because I researched what that board is capable of, ram wise, and realized that I had just the perfect sticks to throw in there sitting on my desk (in static wrap of course). Kinda wish I could put a faster CPU in there but it …
