Theres a good chance your motherboard can't cache all the memory. Usually it goes up to 64MB or 128MB/256MB on Super 7 boards. Otherwise, nice rig 😉 Care to post any pics?

I liked the old shooters being very fast paced AND original. Playing modern day shooters to me is like playing in slow motion -_-.

Yup, kinda hard trying to find one IRL. Either they aren't really interested (unless it means you could fix their computer 😜) or perhaps because they think you may have something valuable for them to steal 😜

I am almost certain that 815 needs the "low density" 16 chip 256MB sticks just like 440BX and 810. I've run into this with upgrading client computers years ago. My feeling here is that 815 is really just a revised 810 chipset and that they share limitations like this and the 512MB max thing. 810 …

Well the AMD 486SX2-66 is a 5V CPU, so it probably still runs at 5V. I somehow doubt, that this compaq mainboard even has 3.3 V support. So that might mean that as I am probably running this DX4 100 at 5 V that it might damage the CPU? Is there a way of finding out which DX4 100s can handle 5 V? …

Try the DX4 100. Might as well shoot straight for the best chip you have. Well, it works, I think. When I go in to the BIOS it says the CPU is a 486SX at 100 MHz. But right under it, it says there is an integrated 387 compatible numeric coprocessor. Does this mean that it has detected the DX4-100 …
