The chips say AR514400-07 If your SIMM memory module has -07 at the end of the really long line, then it's probably 7ns ;) Best is to always read the last numbers in the longest line on the chips themselves ;) As for BIOS tweaks, I don't know much about that myself. ...and grats for finding that …

I don't have any dual s370 to test them in so have no idea, sorry. Edit: Replacing a P3-550 with a VIA C3 600 is a true downgrade, unfortunately. The early C3's had an FPU that was running at half the speed of the rest of the CPU. And even the first C3 to feature full speed FPU was considerably …

Replacing a P3-550 with a VIA C3 600 is a true downgrade, unfortunately. The early C3's had an FPU that was running at half the speed of the rest of the CPU. And even the first C3 to feature full speed FPU was considerably slower then a similarly clocked Celeron.

On a P2 with 128MB, 98SE should work well enough. I found Windows 95 to be more unstable then ME lol. Your P3 1000 sounds pretty much perfect! ;) About the 2 Celerons, the 433 is a nice one, probably you own the PPGA version? The Celeron 700 was not so great, it runs on a 66Mhz FSB, bottlenecking …
