I don't believe there's a single core A64 that can match that P4. But the heat from that Prescott at that speed is awfully annoying. No worse than some of the Phenom II chips. It's all relative. Yup, but that Phenom II is a quadcore, so 75% of all CPU power is wasted right there. Apparently NT4.0 …

DiskExplorer can browse VHD images, if I'm not mistaken. I was reading a while ago that it might also be possible to mount them as virtual drives in Windows, but it can be tricky. Thanks for the tip. Something that can browse virtual harddrives as if they are zip files is perfect for me, …

dont a lot of hdd manufactures offer free tools for cloning a drive ? That may be, but simply having 2 harddrives attached and then dragging the whole Windows directory to an empty bootable harddrive is just so much more convenient. The new problems are off if they are caused by upping the voltage to 5v. The Pentium Overdrive is supposed to be run at 5v as it's an overdrive chip. They were made this way so they could be used on boards that supported 5v's only.

Just curious, for the people familiar with setting up Windows ME, in the beginning you get to choose if you want a normal setup, minimal setup etc. Of course I always pick the custom setup :D But frankly, I don't exactly know what many of these exactly do, let alone considering ME is over a decade …

Found 1 util that's as easy as what I wanted, Winimage! Too bad it's not free, I don't know (and doubt) if Winimage free version can browse those files. Another question:Anyone happen to know if it's possible to browse a Virtual Harddisk? The idea is to install 9x on a Virtual PC (=faster and results in a cleaner install. Also MUCH easier to tinker with) and then copy the entire stuff off of the virtual harddrive?
