There is lots that I never ended up doing, the most important one is learning how to solder (and I mean really, not just solder 2 wires together and that kind of stuff) and getting the gear needed to do repairs. And like some others here, I got plenty parts (and cases) still left to test and work …

MThe diagonal clip may still work, I can’t find a pic but it’s a wire torsion clip you might be able to make. there also are options that clip directly to the chip it’s self. Is it possible? Perhaps. But I would not recommend it. K6-3 was already known to run notoriously hot, especially the 2.4v version (with the 2.2v version running a little cooler). 2.8v might simply fry the K6-3.
