"DOS pgm" is pretty vague. How about you tell us what program you are using? Also post the commands you are using to mount your drives and launch the program.

I didn't think SDL supported Metal yet? I see a fork on github and posts about implementing metal and vulkan support awhile back though.

I was able to accept Fallout 3+ for what they were (not fallout) but I have no interest in online games unless they go open source or allow offline usage so yeah not going to happen here. I'm sure Bethesda will make enough money without me. Have fun "fallout" fans.

With my builds of DOSBox you can use DOSBox on 3.51 but you'd probably need a Pentium to play 286 or less games with it. Pcem is maintained. V14 was released recently. If you have issues with games in pcem then post bug reports on the pcem forum. If you want a build newer than v14 then you'll have to build it yourself. I can't help with 86box.

DOSBox doesn't support talking to a real IPX network, you'll need find the patch and compile dosbox for that.
