The only CD I've ever used to install DOS is FreeDOS. If you are talking about warez compilations of MS-DOS then yes those are out there.....but we don't talk about such things here.

You can try an old ver of Virtual PC with MS-DOS loaded that might work.

1 Freenas server 16gb of ECC memory, 8 4TB drives in RAIDZ2 configuration Offsite via 4 2 bay synology NAS with 4TB drives. Synced via robocopy. Rotate 1 every week and store at work in a locked drawer.

There's always IPX http://hilltopit.com/article_ipx_spx_vista_x64.html 😲 There's a boot.ini switch and also a program to disable the signed driver requirement on the internet so mabye that would get it to work. but mabye just a dual-boot with Linux would be easier.

Another thing to test 98 to 98 transfer speed. If still super slow then you can rule out the windows 7 machines. I've copied to 98SE\NT4 back and forth to windows 7 fine (it's been awhile tho) to an old compaq laptop.
