DOSBox has not implemented glide support. Gulikoza created a patch for DOSBox and compiled it into his own build of DOSBox and it's been available for quite some time. It's not new.

The only time I remember hearing an issue like this is of people using multiple monitors. Disabling cloning/spanning solved it that time. Don't think I've heard of it happening with DOSBox. You could also try setting the variable SDL_Videodriver=WINDIB before booting DOSBox and see if that has any …

DOSBox uses SDL which is pretty simple, can you use other SDL apps like ScummVM?

Well it's rumored that the "upgrade" requires an activated install on the HD before it will upgrade, unlike Vista.

Alot of times if you use all slots on crappily designed mobo's then there isn't enough power to the ram slots so if you can't up the voltage you have to use fewer slots.
