Use the --freesize parameter in DOSBox. By default DOSBox only shows 110meg of free space on mounted drives.

Games don't belong in C:\. They belong in a subdirectory. Like C:\CIV not just "C:\" So create a folder on your hard drive called \DOSGAMES. Type: "Mount c c:\DOSGAMES" in DOSBox. Now install CIV1 in DOSBox or copy the Civilization files into a folder called CIV1 in the DOSGAMES folder.

Running DaggerFall in VPC won't solve the bugs caused by too fast processor speed. Just use DOSBox like everyone else. If your computer isn't fast enough then upgrade to something made within the past 4 years.
