Your 98SE CD is probably not bootable. You need to use a 98SE bootable floppy.

Many old games need the desktop resolution and colors to be set on the desktop before starting the game. Most Windows 3.1 games did not use more than 256 colors.

/Lame execuse for TCP/IP support in DOSBox I'm wondering if an IPX emulator like KALI loaded in a DOSBox build with an NE2000 and TCP/IP supported would be an alternative for games with issues with DOSBox IPX over UDP. and for those who like KALI and the like they could load it up and play with it. …

Well you didn't put anything after the memcheck command. If nothing is entered then it checks for "0" bytes of memory.

I think CM2 uses LASERLOK copy protection so you'll probably need to use a NOCD patch to run it in DOSBox.

Those computers are way too slow for DOSBox (at least for the game your trying to run) so don't even bother.

Make sure normal network communication works before trying to get gaming working between the two computers. So ping, file sharing, dns, etc.

If they are using Vista they may have to go into "Programs and Features" in Control Panel and install Telnet. Putty is much better though.
