video drivers are the issue. There is a program to modify windows file to allow proper access to your video card but your better off using dosbox

Also make sure they are games that don't use protected mode. (DOS4GW/CWSDPMI/Custom extender). None of the other "tweaks" will do that much for speed in your situation.

If there are spaces in the path then you need to use quotations so: mount C "C:\Users\Beck\Documents\DOSBox Stuff"

CALL is included inside the command inerpreter, it's not a seperate executable.

I've heard people have had to use it on 10mb up to 100+ meg partitions. Did you use the -freesize switch in DOSBox correctly? (Use the DIR command to verify that it worked).

Are you trying to network 2 DOSBox sessions on one PC or DOSBox one one PC with another DOSBox on another PC? The reason I ask is because you mentioned using 127.0.0.1 which is a local loopback IP. When you use 127.0.0.1 your talking to yourself.

There should be a generic VESA driver in there or an S3 one. Try those. Your video card wouldn't be in there because you are running the game in DOSBox which is an emulator which emulates it's own video card.

I think I remember seeing an article about using an ethernet card in an Apple II. Haven't used an Apple II since 1991 so I can't be of much help. Have played with the emulators occasionally though.
