If you boot MS-DOS in DosBox then you need to load a mouse drive. Use Cutemouse. If you experience mouse issues in a game or program in DosBox then report those issues here. Also try cutemouse. Also verify that your program doesn't use it's own mouse drive in it's configuration program.

Look in c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. I believe the redirector just redirects local file and printer requests to the server. Likely nothing to do with IPX. The command prompt in Windows relies on the IPX/SPX protocol that you have installed. It's disabled because it takes up conventional memory …

You should be able to adjust that in your network properties. VDMSound just emulates sound. The "Low-level networking" option just disables the network redirector in Autoexec.NT (or your custom Autoexec) to free up more memory. I could be wrong though. I haven't used VDMSound for about 4-5 years …

Well when 5ghz processors are the norm then you'll be able to.....or if CPU architecure changes sufficiently enough to provide more performance at lower clock speeds. So probably 1yr and a half to 2yrs. Glide games run in unofficial builds of DosBox should be able to run fine at higher resolutions. …

Very rarely do DOS programs use .dll's. Are you sure that .dll isn't a Windows .dll? If so then it will not work in DosBox. It's possible that your DOS program used some Windows functionality in that .dll which of course would not work in DosBox.
