Usually those old patches and addons can be uncompressed with decompression tools and manually copied to the game directory. They usually use LHA or zip so any Rar/7zip should handle them fine....

I think gameplay should be interrupted in DosBox every 10 minutes with a random question with info from the DosBox README. Configurable in DosBox.conf of course (for those who read the README)

Did you try changing the cycles values in 0.72? I believe it was set to 3000 in 0.65 by default whereas it's set to auto in 0.72. Not sure how this works on PPC since you can't use dynamic core in DosBox.

I personally have no interest in testing NTVDM in Vista (wasted too much time on it as it is).....so I won't be helping to clear things up. 😀 GliDOS perhaps would be the best source of info for TR1 and Vista.

Windows Vista will not allow DOS programs which require graphics modes fullscreen access because of the new video driver model. (WDDM) You have to install the XP video drivers in Windows Vista for fullscreen. I believe you can use VDOS32 to play TR1 in Windows Vista but you may have to pay. Also …
