I looked in HKLM and HKLU but nothing really stood out. A regisitry or installation monitor may tell us more....but I've already tainted my system with the activation so I'm not sure how trustworthy a reinstall on the same windows install would be at capturing the install. I might try installing it …

I think we should add a notice to the DosBox Game Compat list on the website in Big Red Flashing Letters to use the LATEST VERSION OF DOSBOX. You'd think it would be obvious but obviously not.

Well I bought Bioshock today and got to experience the activation..... I almost thought that there was no activation even though I'd heard that there was. I inserted the CD and installed the game It then got to a point where it wanted to "autopatch" the game. I of course canceled the autopatch..... …

Works fine here in DosBox 0.71 with the original Dungeon Keeper Gold Edition CD. Using either English or German in the setup.

I believe this is fixed in CVS. I think you can get around it with the version you are using now by setting the joystick to none in dosbox.conf.

Unplug all joysticks. Update your video card drivers. Try different output= options in dosbox.conf Make sure DirectDraw acceleration is enabled. Try older versions of DosBox.

You need to modify the security on the file itself or the folder where dosbox.conf resides. You can either give "Users" full permission or you can add your own logon to the file or directory and give it full permissions.
