Are you running the game in DosBox or in Windows XP. If in DosBox then make sure that you configure the sound first, otherwise you will receive the above error. If running under Windows XP then you MUST use DosBox to play it.

I wouldn't trust floppies anymore. Especially nowadays. I long ago converted my 3.5" and 5.25" floppies to images using Winimage and then store backups of those images on external HD's or optical media. MUCH more reliable than floppies.....and it's not like your going to need to install from floppy …

DosBox runs fine in: Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/2003/Vista (Dunno about Windows 95) All distributions of Linux OSX BEOS OS/2

What can I do to launch my program in WinXP with LFB? Use an emulator such as DosBox. If speed is a factor anf your computer is too slow then use Qemu/Vmware/Microsoft VPC.

I always find it funny that people refuse to use DosBox yet they spend hours configuring an old machine they either haven't used in years or have no experience using. (I'm not saying that DosBox is perfect yet of course).

ALT-TABing out of DosBox is dependant upon your graphics drivers. Alt-tab has always been difficult for some games/driver combinations/DX/OGL. The above issue is known althought I don't know if it's documented in DosBox.

In recent CVS the sound slows down/speeds up instead of skipping. This may happen if your overloading DosBox....if your not overloading dosbox then it's a bug. You can tell if your overloading dosbox by monitoring Task Manager and making sure that DosBox processor usage does not exceed 90%.

arrggg....Some dosbox.conf settings are computer specific. Especially "output" and "cycles"..... Might need explain this better in the README but it probably wouldn't make much difference since most new users don't use it.
