I think the screen was dark. I remember seeing a friend play KQ1 on his monitor outputted to his TV back in the day. Can't remember what kind of a computer he had but this was back in teh early 90's....it definetly wasn't as bright as was shown.....of course his TV could have had the brightness …

Well tried it out again just for kicks using ykhwong's 8/31/2005 build. Core=Normal 1. Had to set fresize to a larger value than default otherwise setup complains about not enough freespace. 2. As far as people wanting to play DOS game: I think if we can: get the zip support into CVS, figure out a standard as far as archives go..what format...etc. Mabye include games images/title screen for loaders into zip? checksum capability for .zip or individual files Figure out what each game needs …

FireFox seems to lag on saving web pages and downloading files. Opera is also faster on slower connections (probably due more to caching than anything else). Also going backwards loads the page immediately (cache). Opera saving the "state" or web pages is handy.

You cannot played BUILD engine games (Blood/Shadow Warrior/Duke Nukem 3D) under Windows 2000 with sound. You can use a utility called CLI2NOP but this solution has never been stable for me. I've constantly heard reports from people having trouble connecting via IPX between 2k/XP and Windows 9x....even IPX for games between 2k/xp and 2k/xp is pretty shaky. Either use Windows 98 on the host for both or use emulation, dosbox/VPC/Vmware.
