It's not SP2 since I'm running DK2 with SP2 over here. The 1.7 update causes crashes in some cases (like mine) so sometimes you'll have to use the nonupdated ver. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling DK2?

Not really. Download a program like SpeedFan or Motherboard Monitor and see if it can monitor your computer internal temperature and/or CPU temperature while using DosBox.

It's possible that the default 100m free reported HD free space in DosBox is too much or too little for the game. You might want to try adjusting it to a higher/lower value.

You have to use DOS32a with C&C. You have to bind it in the .dat file, IIRC. I'll have to check my compatibility list.

Actually fullresolution=0,0 works as does "fullresolution=", "=0/0", or "=0". :D Well yeah small screen....but at least there is a screen and it's all there. Only problem is it's small. Create custom virii that wipes out old dosbox versions replaces them with updated versions and corrects improper links. Hey, it happens in the movies! or simply post a message on the DosBox main page......

I was thinking....SDL could check the OS for what monitor is reported to the OS...it could then configure it's settings for that monitor. Have you tried the usual stuff? Reducing Hardware/Sound acceleration? Using a slowdown program like Abandon Loader? You said it doesn't play the Intro....is the intro encoded into game files or is it a an .AVI file encoded with a custom codec? Wish I had the game to test out but I never picked it up …
