Re: Debian Build

I do agree that there should be an official package but it's really not that hard to compile it yourself. I compiled 0.65 for Ubuntu but it's not an official package. It's in the DosBox CVS thread (check my sig). I would create an official ver myself but I've never done so and I don't really feel …

Re: horrible graphical glitch??

Oblivion isn't as demanding as people make it out to be Athlon XP 2800+ Radeon X800 1gb RAM Played Oblivion for 95+ hours @ 1280x1024. Could have used AA/Ansio if I wanted to. Game played fine with some slowdowns here and there. Okay, so it's most likely not a hardware problem. That leaves drivers/ …

Re: Best fit for System Shock?

in DOS
In my case older machines are not the solution since I don't want to worry about upkeep/space of older machines and constantly worrying wether I won't be able to play the games or not. Re: Jimmy White 2 - Cueball .. cant start

in Windows
Mabye figure out where in the registry that slider adjusts it's value and then write a script that changes it before and after you run the game..... Might be better off just running the game under VPC/Vmware. You could try download the Application Compatibility Toolkit from MS and going through that …

Re: My random thoughts

/old fart damn kids with their blogs. ;) Blogs seem like a waste to me as far as discussion of any specialized topic. Sure you get that person's opinion and a couple of hopefully related comments but then that blog post is long forgotten and never updated (unless it's brought up again in another …

Re: Blood problem

Make sure you use the lowest quality settings. If you want high quality sound your either going to have to use DosBox or get an old machine. Sound stuttering can also be improved by tweaking NTVDM settings (VDMSound .VLP shortcut), getting a better soundcard, and possibly using XP's sound emulation …
