Yeah, back then I didn't really care. If the game had a Tandy,CGA,EGA,VGA option then yeah I'd pick the one with the most colors but if the game didn't have an obvious way to switch color modes I would just assume that that's how the game was meant to be played and I wouldn't give it a second …

You shouldn't need to slow down your CD drive....... WC3 will run slow in DosBox 0.63 because 0.63 is ancient. Try a CVS build of DosBox which can be sound by using a link in my signature.
