Just try to standardize things a little, a 6200 should be good enough for almost all things vintage and light use on the modern side. For raw bragging rights then dig up a gt520 or a 9500gt pci then mod for passive cooling. As for agp I still vote for the 6200. No Win9x drivers for 9500GT or GT520. …

What would you be testing for on a PCIe motherboard that requires such an old video card? If you just need one for diagnostics, then wouldn't a Radeon X300 or GeForce 6200 in PCIe do just as well?

For $99 bucks, you are getting a fairly decent console. Not up to 360 or PS3 standards, but worlds better than Wii. I've heard it will be near to that of a Nexus 7 tablet. The Prescott does require BIOS support, and I think some boards also didn't meet the specs for something in the VRM design. Plus it's a Compaq... they're generally pretty inflexible when it comes to CPU upgrades. Besides, a 2.8 Prescott isn't going to be a huge boost anyway. You'd be better off …
