Maybe use the 0.73 sources though 😀 For me the compilation process was as straightforward as for linux when i tried it a good while ago, some keyboard issue (scancodes wrong) but otherwise sort of working. Feel free to keep us informed in this thread.

No really. Large windows and fullscreen is very blurry though. ->openglnb (no that does not mean OpenGL Not Blurry but almost)

That overflow may be later than the point where it screws up. (?) The point where the illegal reads occur is a regular subroutine that is called very often, usually does some copying of small memory blocks but then (maybe related to the many irqs) receives crap thus does memory transfers beyond …

The question is why does it work if the help suggests it doesn't? Please point to the exact location where you derive this from, then that passage can be updated.

By the way, can I expect any adverse effect from setting the overall mixer rate to the unusual frequency of 49,716 Hz? That depends on your soundcard (cheap ones may have problems). Ideally there'd be some (high quality) resampling in the dosbox opl core.

The dynamic cores have actually (way) better functionality thus providing a better level of compatibility, still there may be timing/irq related problems as side effects.

dosbox provides more than 100 file handles, so the application's detection does not work. You can try to create a dummy config.sys on the root of your emulated c-drive and put some files= statement there.

I put the translated file in the config and everything is displayed correctly. When I try to write a config file within Dosbox using the command: CONFIG -writeconf blabla.txt It just does not use correctly my translation. It worked fine with 0.72 and previous. In fact, only the section with CPU_ …

The config does not like the "compat" value in the oplmode variable. Works and is effective if used in the dosbox config file. Have you guys looked at this when improving your emulation? No because the tables were already fine.

For accuracy testing be sure you use the opl-native frequency setting for both the opl rate as well as the mixer rate (oplrate=49716, [mixer] rate=49716).
