TFT pixels should be squared Some devices handle it different. That's why the original question was interesting and would have deserved more than a rough hint at the calculator. So a 1600 to 1200 resolution is 4:3, isn't it? Some 16:9 (uh calculator damnit no 4:3) allow setting 1600:1200, what …

Yeah, of course it is 4:3 This doesn't follow out of 4:3==1600:1200 as this would assume they have the same pixel ratio.

The game is installed. How? Be sure you install it WITHIN dosbox, using a fixed mounting for the c-drive and the d-drive (cdrom).

try starting the main executable with /I to reconfigure the game (as noted in the batch file that comes with the game)

ctrl-f8 should record both digital audio as well as opl synthesized sound, just midi music is missing.

Recorded video is lossless, if it's blurry it's caused by playback or whatever.

Install the game within dosbox and be sure you mount the cdrom correctly.

From dosbox's point of view you can use the upper layers, that is capture/simulate mouse movement+clicks at the SDL level using state and timing information.

The codec is irrelevant when recording. Be sure the CAPTURE directory specified in dosbox.conf is accessible/writeable for your user account.

it's DOSBox's responsibility to explain how to use it. No. If you feel it's missing, add it and post a patch at the sourceforge page. Other than that nobody of us cares as we don't use macs.
