If it's not on the z:\ drive then you can't just copy around the .com file from another dosbox installation. Assure that the ipx setting is enabled in the dosbox.conf that is actually used (watch the dosbox console window).

BitDefender and ClamAV are newest versions? Is it the heuristics scanner or the regular pattern searcher?

Better don't execute it then. Check your system btw. if it's clean then it's a false alarm. Also be sure you downloaded the installer from the official homepage.

I don't remember the exact steps of the installation, but what does it do if you start the installer from the first cd? If it asks for the second cd later on then be sure you update the drive cache (ctrl-f4).

Create a cue/bin pair, mount the cue file (if you didn't already), and be sure you mount the cdrom as d: in dosbox.

Maybe copy those executables from freedos into the directory that you mount as your c-drive in dosbox.

DEP is the inverse problem, executing data. If i understand correctly you are writing into the code segment. No idea if that's fine to do so, the entry in the executable for the code segment should be exec-only, but then it shouldn't work under xp, too.

Tried disabling xms AND ems? Does it behave the same when sound is completely disabled (game setup)?
