Ask the guys where you downloaded it. Btw. getting the newest dosbox version is always recommended. And personally i wouldn't trust people who tell to do a mount c c:\

Text output in vesa modes should work fine, could be that some very old vesa implementations skip it though. Text colour should work pretty much the same as the regular graphics modes' text output.

Dunno but all regs should match msdos when starting an executable, except for fcb params which nobody uses anyways. Did you debug it? Does it crash or so?

Maybe close down all background apps (stuff in the system tray, disconnect from the internet etc.) and see if it's any better.

you can run it on the Windows XP command prompt Linux guys will love you for this answer. Of course fixing the mounting might work, too.

Nope, but sb16 should be enough for them (be sure you configure the game correctly, that is irq7 and dma1 or dma5).

Second harddisk works just fine for me, just be sure both images are fine If daemon tools doesn't work under win95 maybe try some old nero or so.
