post the complete mounting (the one you're using for the installation, and the one you're using when running the game, which, by coincidence, should be identical)

Um it says rs ecc codes on both wiki entries, which is plain checksum data. Nothing more, especially no original data nor the possibility to reconstruct the files based solely on the par2 data.

Technically any program par2 of a program is nothing more than a checksum of that app, so your argument doesn't count.

Maybe try with sound disabled, and some basic mounting, dunno about the version you got, if it can be installed use something like mount c c:\oldstuff mount d c:\oldstuff\rothcd -t cdrom where oldstuff is some empty directory except for the content of the cd.

Unlikely, if you can type at the dosbox command prompt the keyboard is fine.

Please check the mapper (ctrl-f1 or "dosbox -startmapper") which key is used for the numlock key. what would I use as keymappings to present the standard arrow keys as their numerical equivalents using mapper.txt? See the numblock in the graphical mapper.

on joysticks with more than 4 buttons the higher physical buttons are mapped to lower logical numbers Only true for =4axis joystick emulation i think, with =2axis you'd get wrapping after button2 already.
