buttonwrap wraps buttons, that is button 0-3 map to 0-3, and (physical) button 4 maps to (emulated) 0 again, 5 to 1 and so on (buttonwrap=true). For buttonwrap=false you can remap all (well many) physical buttons.

Start with a clean dosbox0.72 installation from the official homepage, especially leave the dosbox.conf clean. Start dosbox, enter the mounting (nothing more), switch to the blood directory, configure it (disable sound, set 320x200 vga graphics mode), then start blood (don't switch to fullscreen). …

It will run like drunken snail. Doesn't matter. Also lots of dos4gw games run just fine on 386s.

Could somebody please try this game (vga or svga mode, doesn't matter) on some 386 system? Mobygames specs tell that it only runs on a 486+

So it only happens when you switch to fullscreen?? Please post the full specs of your system and complete information about the problem next time. Maybe your monitor has some buttons to move the screen to adjust for the bad placement.

if there is too much hdd space available The first thing the poster did was use the app with the default dosbox settings, ie. size-limited. Please read the full thread.

Open that .exe in some packer (7zip, winrar et al), try the extract or verify options then.
