Maybe I got the same problems unmounting an image which is still in usage by an application. Unlikely, just don't open it in write-mode with some editor or so. See the readme about imgmount.

Do I need to install the game again every time I want to play it? Please read the readme again, and check out your dosbox.conf

Triggers as axes sounds pretty bad, but maybe check out the mapper (see the readme for some examples) if you can adjust the stuff.

How? Presuming you're a windows user you could try it with the explorer. What I am gonna put in that folder? Nothing. Did you actually READ the posting that MiniMax told you? What about step 1?

Maybe check out hal's lpt passthrough thing, but don't know if this would work together with your converter.

The original installer doesn't work because of the cdrom speed thing, right? That is even with very low cycles it doesn't work?

Works fine in dosbox, too. Look at the guides forum, there are step-by-step explanations. Basically mount some directory as your c: drive, then your real cdrom as d: drive, then install the game within dosbox.
