Works fine here. Works in the sense that it does nothing (as expected for textmode). This is windowed mode only, right? Delete the dosbox.conf, create a fresh one and ONLY add the scaler command to the [autoexec] section and report back.

Try something like "ADDKEY p100 l500 s-a-left" s=shift a=alt (the left just as some key has to be pressed, left should not hurt)

Shouldn't auto have figured that out? Yes, but the auto merely looks how much joysticks SDL/winmm reports.

Sounds like digital sound device. Maybe check the manual if the game supports midi or cd audio.

If the crash/mouse visibility does NOT happen under real dos, too (and quickbasic stuff is picky there, too, especially with those int calling libraries) then post the executables. Don't know what mouse sensitivity should have to do with this.

A good idea would be to use the initmouse and SHOW mouse commands. Otherwise you of course don't see any mouse cursor.

This is no bug. No idea why those crazy drivers report one joystick as two joysticks, that's not really our fault. despite there being technically 4 axes 2axis means 2x2axes = 4 axes. So nothing wrong. I don't know what exactly the driver does, even if reporting as two separate joysticks it should …

Maybe check the sdl environment variables, like SDL_VIDEO_FULLSCREEN_HEAD (might be 1.3 only though).

Yep, think for fs=none it doesn't work or something. What older version of bximage did you use? What were the parameters that it produced?

Well dosbox should run on Vista quite fine (either 0.70 or 0.71...) and fullscreen works, too. So as long as the programs you want to run are 16bit or 32bit dos apps it should work. Don't know about power basic, but QuickBasic and QBX work fine under dosbox.

Dunno, shall i blindly change code and hope that some of the changes made it work for you, too? Maybe post what imgmount parameters you are using, an empty generated sample image that doesn't work etc.

With all this discussion i suppose it'll result in stopping development anyways, which means much more free time for me so it's fine with me anyways. Don't know about what devilish license terms apply for the opl code, was way before my time and something like a "ok" from the author of that code.
