That's how it is implemented, wrapping buttons (2 for 2axis and 4 for 4axis) and having the respective number remappable arbitrarily. What exactly are you trying to achieve?

I think dosbox doesn't fully support protected mode. What's missing? Are you sure you know what pmode is? and you will get absolutely terrible sound. Maybe send an email to gates.

The emulation cores are a lot better than the disasm 😉 fpu instructions are only partially disassembled as well. But nobody really bothered yet...

The one from pcdos or nwdos runs just fine, so does the msdos622 mem.exe (though you need to change the reported dos version in dosbox, see next release).

Hm that safely kicks it out 😀 Maybe it was added because it was not fully compatible with some scalers or the avi capturing.

Dynamic core doesn't work on macs, the next dosbox version should have the dynamic core at least on intel macs available. Other than that try cycles=auto while leaving core=normal.

Get a dependency walker then, though i doubt this will solve your problem. If it crashes that early it's most likely something with sdl. Try upgrading your graphics card drivers, change the output= in dosbox.conf or try replacing sdl.dll with an older/newer one.

Uh just start that program i posted right before loading the game itself, if you want to use some frontend then put this into the batch file and run the batch file instead of the game.
