Re: DOSBox doesn't work on my machine

> and I am already compiling from the source Ah sorry, didn't see that. Do you (or some other Slackware user) know if this appeared with earlier kernels/distributions as well? You could try it with sound disabled in dosbox.conf (nosound=true) or a different linux sound interface, and maybe testing …

Re: 1000 Miglia

Bochs has two different pit implementations, one of them has the status-reading function (not documented too well) so maybe i can check the behaviour against that implementation.

Re: 1000 Miglia

Seems to be hanging in a timer-loop. out 43,e8 in al,42 and al,80 je loop The out 43,e8 sets the counterstatus_set so they don't receive the counter (which they seem to expect) but the status reg. No idea how to fix it though.

Maybe specifying the path to mapper.txt in dosbox.conf …

Re: Rename z:\ drive

See e.g. http://www.brain.uni-freiburg.de/~klaus/pasca … 0/download.html If it doesn't work out, you might want to upload the program and/or send it to somebody, as long as it doesn't violate some copyrights.

Re: Rename z:\ drive

in DOSBox General
Depending on how it was programmed, you might be able to change the drive in the pascal executable as well using a hexeditor. Also did you try some of those borland patchers? The problem you describe is a well-known bug of the crt library and several fixes are available that work on the .exe only ( …

Re: CVS and Wolf3D
