Re: My first computer

I took some pictures. Sorry about the low quality, it is the best I could do with my dim lighting and cell phone camera. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a67/RepoOne/0929102328.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a67/RepoOne/0929102330a.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a67/RepoOne/0929102329a. …

My first computer

Well, A few years ago, I found this thing in the closet. It was my first computer, got it in the mid-90s. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a67/RepoOne/computer.jpg http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a67/RepoOne/ATTmonitor.jpg http://imgur.com/nm1n3.jpg Specs: 33MHz Cyrix Cx486DLC (with CoPro) 8MB RAM …

Re: Cyrix Cx486DLC

Also, Davros' suggested CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT settings work great. Thank you so much. Now all I need are game recommendations. …

It's a YMF719, which is a rebranded YMF715, which is described as "Controller+Codec, SB/SBPro/SB16/MPU-401 compatible, PnP, IDE, Integr. OPL3, adds power management and 3D sound." Right now I'm having problems with it, though, as it is making sound via OPL3 in Windows, but non-MIDI sound will not …

Getting DOS games running on an old W98 PC

in DOS
Well, I was recently given a rather old machine from 1997, so I formatted, installed Windows 98, and upgraded the hardware a bit. I'm currently having a few issues with it (configuration, primarily), for I haven't used Windows 98 with DOS in a long time. The machine has the following specs: Celeron …
