oddly getting terrible preformance in XP at the desktop, it runs games fine but it lags terribly at the desktop. It's dual booted with Vista Home Premium x64 and that simply fly's. Not sure whats going on except that maybe XP is running out of ram?

if its really important to you, you can send it to an eletronic repair shop that does large scale refurbishing it could cost you some money though.

the other way to do this is start computer, unplug the heatsink fan for 30 seconds, kill power to system and pull off heatsink 😁

from Amazon I buy only new hardware or stickers, ebay for all used stuff. Though even on new stuff its not always pretty. ORdered a case once from them, it was shapped all wrong when i got it, it sat at an angle like someone pushed on the top while preventing the bottom from going foward as well. …

Did U tried disabling CnQ technology ? I don't think there is a MB manufacturer smart enough to enable SLI and dumb enough to disable Vcore control in BIOS :D ASUS did it with this one, but the M2N-E SLI was an entry level SLI board for cheap, I remember buying one back in 2006 for $87 brand new. …

@up Two things : 1) I OC'ed 7900 GX2 to 600/700MHz, so it will be faster than 7950 GT SLI. BTW stock clocks for my card are 100MHz lower than this (ie. 500/600 [GPU/VRAM]). 2) 7900/7950 GX2 or 7900 GTX SLI WILL all be bottlenecked in this benchmark (by either of our CPU's). BUT is this bottleneck …

Hmm I've got to find away to push my CPU a little harder it seems. I know a 7900GTX Sli setup beats a 7950GX2, as a 7950GX2 is closer to a 7950GT sli
