I tested this a few years ago! On a Pentium machine I found that without -5V the speech in games will be super fast. E.g. Space Quest 4 CD. Using a -5 PSU fixes this. Either re-install the SB drivers (deltree CTCM and SB16 folders) or create your own batch file (mine is called AWE64.BAT) and run that each time. @Kodai Kepp the boot menu minimalistic (EMS, EMS 16MB, XMS, Conventional only) and then have everything else as batch files. Mouse, MSCDEX, SoftMPU, whatever...

Hmm I thought SoftMPU is going to solve all of this 😀 Gateway sounds mint with Sound Blaster. Does it support MT-32 AND SB Sound Effects or do the effects come out from the PC Speaker?

Chorus / Reverb is for FM / Adlib. It adds Chorus and/or Reverb to these old games. GM / MT-32 is MPU401 MIDI and personally I wouldn't bother. Many games support the AWE directly (Doom, Descent, Duke 3D...) and sound great.
