If it's the top card, hold onto those un-soldered ram clips. They'll come in handy in a future video card ram upgrade.. Yea it's the top one. Pulled the memory off the card and now the machine posts. But the image is grey-scale. There is a jumper that hasn't been set, might play around with it...

Yea will definitely sort it out when I get to it 😀 Thinking of doing the charts in Excel in the future as I can program automatic charts and save time. Not getting anywhere within Google Docs. If anyone knows how to do automatic conditional charts I could really use your help 😀

I finally got around to replacing the 4 3300uF caps on that Gigabyte board. Three got some nice Panasonic FR. The last one just an FK because the FR was too wide to fit :) http://i.imgur.com/i0qmeyNh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NswyK5Ah.jpg Board installed W98SE fine. Now what I should I do? :blush:

I'm currently playing with my P3 1.4S system (VIA chipset) and having Windows 98SE on a 4GB Microdrive. Are there any benchmarks (HDD) you want to me to run? If so, please provide links to make it easier 😀 W98SE isn't my area of expertise and I often find tools which then don't run on this OS.

IMO on a fast MS-DOS gaming machine you don't need ISA slots anymore. They all use late Sound Drivers that have excellent compatibility and basically ANY PCI Sound Card works with these games. Of course if you want to play old Sierra games on a 1.4GHz Pentium 3 that's another thing, but why would …

That overdrive works on more 486 board than the AMD chips. The Intel is also faster clock for clock compared the 5x86 P75. I tested this myself. For example on my Acer it gets detected properly, whereas the AMD shows up as DX2-80.
