Very cool 😀 However for games I recommend using 3dbench 1.0 and not speedsys. The other option you have is going for "slower" chips like the standard Pentium 200 and all of the K6-2 versions.

I can confirm your issues 😀 Tough I admit I never knew / cared about laser quad and the other "exotic" games. But Gateway made me get a Roland midi card because I absolutely love all the Legend adventure games.

On many boards you can change the voltage reading to ignore. Then you don't get a warning at POST for example.

Hmm maybe it's so high because there are no -5V devices in the computer? If you have a Sound Blaster 2.0 you could see if the voltage changes.

Yes I do the same. For DOS 6.22 you can get bootdisks from bootdisk.com. For FAT32 I use a BootCD with Super FDISK as the Microsoft tools can't deal with hard drives that are too large. I highly recommend sticking to a 30GB FAT32 partition as the max. Now under DOS 6.22 you can create several 2GB …

For DOS it shouldn't matter. I tried cheap ones from eBay and branded ones and also micro drives. All work fine. However I have no settled for a PCI SATA controller card and standard 2.5" notebook drives. I created a 30GB FAT32 partition.

None of the Lucasarts games ever needed an Intelligent Mode MPU401 😀 But I admit that I, and likely nobody else, has tested SoftMPU compatibility with games that work on UART interfaces anyway. Make sure you post this in the SoftMPU thread.

Just made me wonder the other day. Office 2013 still uses the floppy disk icon to save. Now the current generation of kids for example have no idea what a floppy is, what it looks like and what that symbol is meant to be. They could make it look like a USB?

Ahhh sorry I confused it with 3dbench 😀 If you want to gauge gaming performance, go with 3dbench 1.0! You should get a score of around 10 with all caches off and a score of maybe around 20 or so with l1 off and l2 on.
